The Ingenieur Chronograph is powered by the IWC-manufactured 69375-calibre movement with a bidirectional pawl-winding system and a 46-hour power reserve. Used in combination with the tachymeter scale,
it also shows the average speed achieved over a measured distance of 1,000 metres. The transparent sapphire-glass back provides a view of the 69375-calibre movement in all models. The stainless-steel
model with a stainless-steel bracelet features a silver-plated dial and gold-plated hands.
The Ingenieur Story
The Ingenieur collection is inspired by IWC's passion for engineering. Materials typically used in motorsport, such as ceramic and titanium characterize the design of these watches and highlight their technical yet sporty character.
The design of the Ingenieur Automatic is a homage to the technical ingenuity of the 1950's, when engineers were the heroes of the technological age. The first Ingenieur combined the simple dial design with striking hands and the most advanced winding mechanism of the time to create a modern watch.
