Some projects continue to resonate long after they are completed. Not only because of the exceptional gemstones involved, but also because of the trust a client places in us to create something truly unique. For an international client, we designed two extraordinary pieces centred around one of the world's most coveted coloured gemstones: the Paraíba tourmaline.
Infinitus Earrings
To celebrate a significant birthday, we were commissioned to create an exclusive pair of earrings. Working from a portrait photograph, the eye colour of the wearer, and a fixed delivery date, Eric began the search for the perfect gemstones. Within a generous budget, he selected four rare Paraíba tourmalines: two exceptional matching pairs that complement one another perfectly in colour, brilliance, and character.
Paraíba tourmalines are renowned for their intense blue glow. A colour reminiscent of tropical ocean waters—bright, vibrant, and seemingly illuminated from within. They are gemstones that immediately capture attention while retaining a remarkable softness and elegance.
For the design, we chose the Infinitus symbol as our inspiration. A representation of connection, trust, and infinity. The result is a pair of earrings that feels graceful, sophisticated, and timeless.
A Collector's Ring
For the same client, we were also entrusted with the creation of a remarkable ring. The design draws inspiration from the Art Nouveau period, where flowing lines, organic forms, and refined details come together in perfect harmony.
At the heart of the ring shines a rare Paraíba tourmaline from Mozambique. What makes this gemstone particularly special is that it is completely unheated. Its colour remains entirely natural, untouched by any heat treatment or enhancement. The intense ocean-blue hue visible today is exactly the colour with which this Paraíba was formed in the earth millions of years ago.
To further enhance the beauty of the centre stone, it was surrounded by natural Fancy Intense Pink diamonds. Small yet exceptionally rare diamonds whose vivid pink colour creates a stunning contrast with the cool blue tones of the Paraíba.
Two unique creations, designed around the individual who will wear them and built around some of the most extraordinary gemstones nature has to offer.
